Southampton Sleeveless Slip-Over

Thank you to http://geitd.wordpress.com/ for giving me permission to share this vintage pattern.

The cartoon is courtesy Judge Magazine.

Judge was a weekly satirical magazine published in the United States from 1881 to 1947. It was launched by artists who had seceded from its rival Puck. The founders included cartoonist James Albert Wales, dime novels publisher Frank Tousey and author George H. Jessop. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judge_(magazine)

Unfortunately the cover for this knitting & crochet booklet has been lost but it is certainly older than 50 years.

The sponsor seems to be Minerva Yarns.

I like the top pattern stitch, I haven’t seen that one before.
